ELECTRON BEAM TO COMMENCE COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS IN MAY 2009

PORT KLANG, January 1, 2009 – Electron Beam Sdn Bhd is on target for a 1st May 2009 commercial launch. Installation and testing of the equipment is progressing smoothly at the purpose-built facility in Westport and is already at an advanced stage.

Prospective users are invited to pre-register their interest at Electron Beam’s website by downloading a ‘PROCESSING REQUEST FORM’ to enable pre-validation of their products.

“We expect to receive many enquiries initially on the effectiveness of e-beam irradiation, as this is the first ever e-beam irradiation facility to operate in the region” a company spokesperson said. In view of this, Electron Beam technical officers will be standing by to provide clarification and to advise new users on the suitability of their products for such treatment.
